- Course description: Introduction to concepts and methods of calculus for students with little or no previous calculus experience. Polynomial and elementary transcendental functions and their applications, derivatives, extremum problems, curve-sketching, approximations; integrals and the fundamental theorem of calculus.
- Grade breakdown: 20% homework (5% online, 15% written), 40% midterms, 40% final.
- Homework: There are two types of homework for this course.
- Online homework should be completed through MyMathLab and is due every Friday.
- There will also be weekly written homework assignments. These will be collected in lecture and returned in recitations.
- Midterms: 3 midterms. Your top 2 midterm scores will each contribute 20% toward your final grade.
- Final: Monday, December 19, 9-11 AM.
