I used to maintain and improve the software that controls a laser scanner which is able to capture 3D as well as the texture overlay of the scene.

One key factor in obtaining an accurate 3D model and texture overlay is the calibration of geometrical parameters of the laser rangefinder and the camera positions relative to the world coordinate.

I improved and modified the calibration algorithm such that the error reduces, and I also maintained the capture/display software.
