This information will be supplied for each ACACIA database only once, that is, a Metadata table will have just one record (row).

Attributes of this table are compatible with the Dublin Core metadata element set, as well as with the Source Database field group of the Species 2000 Standard Dataset.

Attribute M_SCOPE must be one of the following:

• Global

• Regional

• Local

Attribute M_ENVIRONMENT must be one of the following:

• Marine

• Brackish

• Freshwater

• Terrestrial

• Unknown

Any other values are ignored. Null values are allowed.
