What is Career & Technical Education (CTE)? Career and Technical Education is an educational option designed to help students learn real-world, work-ready skills that lead directly to employment. CTE gives students hands-on experience and a foundation for more advanced occupational training. A "traditional" four-year degree isn't for everyone! Employers are desperately searching for skilled workers in practical fields—and these careers, which might only require an apprenticeship or two-year program, often pay more than an office job!
