Class Info

Étoile de la semaine

Each week, a child will be chosen to be the star student. They will bring home an All About Me sheet and tell the class about all of their favorite things. They are encouraged to bring a few of their favorite pictures to share with the class!

Raconte et montre

Once a month each month, the students may bring something special to class to show their friends. They will learn proper sentences in French to ask questions and make guesses on what their friends brought!

NUT FREE ZONE

We have students in our class who are allergic to NUTS so please refrain from giving your children NUTS in their lunches. Thank you.

My brain is like a muscle that can grow!

We are learning to be resilient and to have Growth Mindset.

I can be resilient when I use

" THE POWER OF YET" .

I can make it happen!

The Wilson Ways

Be Respectful

I demonstrate respect for myself, for others, for learning, and for property.

Be Responsible

I am responsible for my actions and for my learning. I arrive at school ready to learn.

Be Resilient

I try to solve my own problems before asking for help. I know that it is okay to make mistakes, and I

learn from the mistakes I make.

Digital Citizenship

Please check out the following link Digital Citizenship Letter of Agreement to view and discuss digital citizenship with your child.

Dictée/Spelling

Spelling lists are part of the classroom's phonetic program that helps the students to become better writers and readers. They have a practice test on Monday mornings and the final tests are every Friday morning unless there is a holiday. Your child will bring their spelling notebook home after they have completed their tests to share with you. Please initial the test and return the notebook to school as soon as possible. The intention of the spelling words is to develop a bank of words and sounds for the children to easily draw upon in their writing.

Agenda

This year, our class will be using a paper copy Agenda. Please ensure to review and sign this daily. Parents will also be notified of events and class happenings on my class website. Homework and important papers can be carried back and forth to school in a ziplock bag or a special book bag “petit sac” that can be purchased at the school. If you would like to purchase one of these book bags please check at the office. Please feel free to contact me at anytime by email and I will respond as promptly as I am able.

Eportfolio

To access your e-portfolio, go to Gmail and login using your student name and password.

Once you are in your email account, click on the App Launcher Icon at the top right hand of the screen. Click on Drive to access their Eportfolio document.

Class Dojo

The Class Dojo website and app will be used to share class photos/videos/messages so that parents can regularly see what's going on at school. It is a great way to open more conversation and connection between home and school life.

Classroom Volunteers

We love having volunteers in our classroom. Please know that we do require all of our volunteers to have a criminal record check on file at the school prior to volunteering. If you think that you may want to volunteer, it may be a good idea to get a criminal record check done early on, as it can take some time to receive it after you have requested it. Please let me know by email if there is a time that you would like to come volunteer in our classroom.
