COLLEGE APPLICATION QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
1. Naviance: Complete the BRAG Sheet - under initials circle (upper right of home screen) > "Surveys from Your School." Email your counselor when it's complete.
2. Common App: create your account https://www.commonapp.org/ and add your colleges under the "My Colleges" tab (this is NOT for Montgomery College)
> Select one of your colleges and complete the "Recommenders and FERPA" waiver (in Common App)
3. Naviance: Enter your colleges in the "Colleges I'm Applying to" page
4. Match your Common App to your Naviance Account (top of the "Colleges" page in Naviance)

5. YOU ARE NOW READY TO SUBMIT YOUR GOLDEN TICKET (to request transcripts) TO THE COUNSELING OFFICE.
6. If you are requesting an Application Fee Waiver, sign the request form in the counseling office.
7. Request Teacher Rec Letters in Naviance: Under "Colleges" tab > "Letters of Recommendation" > "Add Request" and then select each teacher from drop down and choose the colleges to send it to. You must have asked them in-person to do the recommendation letter BEFORE you request in Naviance. Video Tutorial

Will I be able to take the SAT/ACT and will colleges still require them? Almost all colleges and universities are now test optional, check: Test Optional Colleges and Universities.
Will I have to pay for my college applications? Every student should apply for Free and Reduced Lunch (FARMS). You may qualify for FREE ACT/SAT tests, college applications and more. Apply whether you think you qualify of not.
