WELCOME to 4K!
LANGUAGE & LITERACY:
Literacy is a very important part of a child's development. Reading on a daily basis is a wonderful way to help enhance your child's beginning literacy skills as you share fun, quality time together!
This week, we will be sharing fun stories in the classroom such as: In the Small, Small Pond.
The letters for this week's letter cycle will be Pp, Qq, Rr, Ss & Tt. We will also be working with our sounds in motion!
Mathematics:
Math is all around us! Counting as you set the table for dinner, measure while baking cookies or matching socks while doing the laundry are all great ways to strengthen your child's math skills.
We will continue to learn about living & non-living things in our backyard!
We will create "life size" flowers in our own image!
SMALL & LARGE MUSCLE CONTROL (GROSS/FINE MOTOR):
Both Small & large muscle control, "motor development" is very important at this age. There are many opportunities you may offer throughout the day for folks to strengthen such skills. For example:
