Christmas in December

In third grade at Welcome Elementary, we received a donation of a doll collection from all over the world. Dolls were collected by a special person as she traveled to various countries. A huge SHOUT OUT to Mrs. Harriet Johnson of Greer for donating beautiful dolls to Mrs. Simmons. Following you will see the joy on many faces of young girls. We also have a young boy who desired a more suitable gift...Hot Wheels.

"Romeo and Juliet"...and our Actress

We were so excited to see Mrs. Katie, an actress, to visit us from the Greenville Warehouse Theater. She talked to us about Shakespeare and his life. Mrs. Katie practiced many phrases of Shakespeare's words with us. She also helped us to make acting gestures and practice our skills at drama. We had a fun time and thankful she enriched our learning! We hope you enjoy our pictures of the visit.

Third Grade Challenge

Welcome to third grade challenge! The students will love their first year in Challenge as we study the life and works of William Shakespeare. We will begin researching his life and forming our information into a report. The life and times of the period will be studied and four of his major plays. Also, we will have an actress from The Greenville Little Theater to share her expertise on acting. As Shakespeare would say, we will be "fancy free" this year developing our language arts and dramatic skills.
