Course Description: This course provides students with continued study of the Latin Language. Students will learn advanced Latin grammar and vocabulary and be introduced to both Ancient and Medieval history and Literature to provide context for the language. Finally the course will look at the ways that Latin language and culture have influence the modern world.
This course exceeds the CP requirements by delving deeply into authentic Latin texts and asking students to draw their own independent conclusions from historical Roman and Medieval authors.
Course Goal: Students will gain the skills to independently approach authentic Latin texts.

Grading Scale:
Major Assessments 60%
Minor Assessments 40%
Exams will count as 20% of the semester grade in accordance with district policy.
A- 100-90
B- 89-80
C- 79-70
D- 69-60
F- 59-0
Types of Assignments:
Major: Generally speaking, there will be 2-3 tests and 1 project each quarter.
Minor: Classwork will be collected into one or two larger grades each week.
Late Work Policy:
Minor - 10 points off per day for 5 days and then zero
Major - 10 points off per day for 5 days and then until end of quarter to turn in for max of 50
