Projects - 1st Semester & 2nd Semester

Each semester, students are required to create a 3 - 5 minute presentation. Presentations will be based on the general topics studied during the particular semester. Students are encouraged to research a subject that they find interesting, but not something specifically covered during class. They can choose a person, place, belief, technology or event. Students can use supporting materials of their choice (for example: posters, dioramas, artifacts, PowerPoint/Google Slides, etc.) Do not use a game or website design. Students will present their projects at the end of each semester. See the rubric below for specific requirements.

The Early Ages Presentation Project Rubric (Major Grade)

1. Materials – copy of PowerPoint/Prezi presentation, posters, pictures, artifacts or

written supporting documents. 25 pts. ________

2. Subject – Project content can be a person, place, technology, or event discussed during the

semester. 25 pts. ________

3. Presentation – Organized, use of supporting documents, and correct length

(approximately 3 - 5 minutes). 25 pts. ________

4. Effort 25 pts ________
