Google Classroom and Quaver Music
This year all I will be using "Google Classroom" to submit, review, and grade student work. The Music Google Classroom can be found on your child's computer, the same way they look up their other classes. All Grove parents and students are strongly encouraged to check their grade level Google Classroom for work/homework/practice the student should be doing. Your child has been issued a Quaver Music User Name and Password. They must have this in order for them to use the Quaver Music computer curriculum.
Quaver Ed Music Madness Feb. 28-April 2, 2025
Quaver’s Music Madness places sixteen songs in a bracket style tournament. Each round, teachers introduce song matchups for students to listen and respond to what they hear. After evaluating the songs, classes will vote on that week’s match-up favorite. After five weeks of voting, one song will be crowned 2024 Music Madness Champion! Please click the link for more information. youtu.be/ZE5UVvF0NEY
Quaver Bucks
Hello Students and Parents: Your child can earn Quaver Bucks to use to purchase things in Quaver Music. For example once they input their quaver user name and password, they can see several options to use in Quaver including their Avatar. While a lot of things are free to use, some things cost.. The Quaver Bucks allows them to purchase that item. For example if they want to change the color of their Avatar's hair, they can choose to select a free item, or they can purchase an item to use. This is a fun way to start teaching our students about saving and spending money as well as how to add, and subtract numbers. The February Quaver Bucks Code is: SwingLow22. The code must be entered exactly as you see it
Honors Chorus Information
The Grove Honors Chorus consisting of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will start back practicing on Tuesday, January 9, 2023 - 2:20 p.m. - 4 p.m. Any students interested in joining the Honors Chorus must see Mr. Manigault to get the "Parent Permission Letter". As we get closer to a performance, we will add additional after school rehearsals so that we can have enough time to go through the entire concert/show.

The Corvid-19 Coronavirus is real. Even with this virus, just know that I care. The song "Lean On Me" by the late Bill Withers is fitting for this time in our school life. To my 5th grade students, please know that I wish you the very best for the remainder of this school year and the start of your 6th grade in whatever middle school you are assigned to attend. Make it your best year yet! https://youtu.be/rdlPVBvkr-s
