The Voices Of Greenbrier

    The Voices of Greenbrier have been singing for the Greenbrier Community for over thirty years. Mrs. Bagwell has been coordinating and directing the group for seventeen years. Students will discuss the opportunity to participate in chorus during the Month of August. Mrs. Bagwell will send out a Questionnaire, in the Music google classroom, for interested students to complete. After all of the information has been reviewed Mrs. Bagwell will distribute follow up information with the students. Rehearsals will resume during the first week in September (after labor day). 

Students must meet the criteria below in order to participate in chorus. 

Criteria for Participation

Students must maintain academic grades of a “C” and above. (“M” and above for Related Arts)

Students must maintain positive behavior in all areas of the school; Including on Field Trips and at Recess.

(This includes not disrupting instruction, demonstrating self-control, being respectful to everyone and participating when appropriate.)

Students must attend chorus rehearsals consistently and participate in scheduled programs. 

(If a child is ill, an emergency situation occurs or there is a family issue I understand. Please just send a note, email or leave me a phone message. If I find that a students is missing on purpose or just not coming to programs that is when it becomes an issue.)

Consequences for not adhering the rules.

The Student will be given a warning and Mrs. Bagwell will consult with the students about behavior or other issues.

The Student will be removed from rehearsal and put on probation if the behavior/issues are repeated. Mrs. Bagwell will give the students a note indicating they are on probation from chorus that states when they may return. It is the student’s responsibility to keep up with this information.

If a student has repeatedly broken the criteria for participation and has been on probation the student will no longer be allowed to participate in chorus.

Friday Morning Rehearsals-5th grade from 7:05-7:35

November 10th, (time TBD)- The Voices of Greenbrier-  Veterans Day Performance at Greenbrier

December (TBD)- The Voices of Greenbrier at the Haywood Mall
