Testing information

MAP- We do MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing a few times a year. The data measures each student's growth over time. It is computer based and results are available for teacher use the next day. It gives teacher's normative data and sets a target growth in reading and math for the year.


SC Ready- SC Ready is given in the spring to students in 3rd-8th grades. It covers reading, writing and math skill based on state standards. All students are required to take SC Ready except those that have qualified to take the South Carolina Alternate Assessment.


SCPASS- is tested in 4th grade. It tests comprehensive knowledge and thought processes associated with Science on the SC standards. All students are required to take SCPASS except those that have qualified to take the South Carolina Alternate Assessment.

CogAT/IOWAS- Cognitive Abilities Test and Iowa Assessment are given at grade 2 in Greenville County. These tests help the district to identify students that may qualify for the gifted and talented program.


TE 21 Mastery Connect Benchmarks-3 times a year. Greenville County benchmarks 3 times a year in 2nd- 5th grades. The results are used to help teachers provide support in ELA and Math.
