Hello! My name is Jenna Harrison. This is my third year teaching at Monarch, and my sixth year teaching overall. I earned my early childhood teaching degree at Coastal Carolina University and started my teaching career in Horry County Schools. In 2021, I graduated from the University of South Carolina earning my master's in teaching literacy and reading.
I was born and raised on the south shore of Massachusetts, but came to South Carolina for college and never left. I live here with my husband, Mark, and our fur babies, Millie and Luna. I love exercising, trying/cooking new foods, hanging out downtown, and my profession. I am extremely passionate about teaching young minds and couldn't imagine doing anything else. First grade is my favorite grade to teach because of the growth that takes place from the beginning of the year to the end. It is amazing!
I view education as a shared responsibility between the child, the parent, and the teacher. I am looking forward to collaborating with you this year and watching your child soar! :)
