Mrs. Garosi

This is my 14th year teaching, and my second year teaching at Monarch Elementary. I have been an educator since 2004, but stayed home for a few years with my children when they were young. I have experience teaching first grade, third grade, fourth grade, seventh grade, reading and math intervention and special education. I most recently taught third grade at Oakview Elementary for the last five years.

I graduated with a Masters in Education from the University of North Georgia in 2005. I'm originally from upstate New York, but moved south in 2002. My family and I lived in the Cumming, Georgia area for 8 years and have lived in the Five Forks area for the last 11 years. We absolutely adore Greenville and can't imagine raising our children anywhere else. My husband, Patrick and I have been married for almost 20 years. We have four children and three fur babies. Madison (26) is a college graduate, who is just starting out in her career and living on her own in Alpharetta, GA. Ben (20) is high school graduate, who is working on writing and recording music. Izzy (17) is a senior and Katie (15) is a sophomore at JL Mann High School. We love to travel, explore, read, listen to music and exercise. Chloe (11) is our female dog who loves to snuggle and play tuggy. Autumn (8) is our female cat who loves to be outside. Stinky (8) is our male cat who acts more like a dog. He loves to play rough with Chloe and take naps.

I am especially passionate about teaching children how to read! I can't wait to create and foster a nurturing learning environment for your child to feel safe and loved to help them grow academically, socially and emotionally this school year!
