Who knew that graphs could be classified in so many ways? During the first few weeks of school, students build upon their prior knowledge by analyzing graphs and graphical behavior. This will lead to a study of functions.
Are the graphs increasing? decreasing? neither increasing or decreasing? or both?
Do the graphs have straight lines or smooth curves?
Do the graphs have a maximum, a minimum. or no maximum or minimum?
