The 2023-2024 school year will be my sixth year as a school counselor and sixth year at Bryson Middle School! I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2015.  I earned a Masters plus 30 degree in Counseling and Development from Winthrop University in 2017. 

When  I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing with my  four "fur babies" ( Bella, George,  Bock and Hiccup), and reading a good book.  

I am excited to have the opportunity to work with your students this year!  As their journey through middle school continues, I here to help them through possible obstacles that could arise and provide encouragement throughout their 6th grade year.

I am blessed to serve as the School Counselor for our 7th grade students at Bryson Middle School!  This will be my 10th year as a School Counselor at Bryson Middle.  Prior to serving as a School Counselor I was a Special Education teacher for twelve years.  I enjoy getting to know my students and their families.  It is my goal that each student feels supported and is proud to be a part of our school.  Please feel free to reach out to me if I can assist in any matter.

8th grade School Counselor 

I am the 8th Grade Counselor at  Bryson Middle School.  After graduating from the University of South Carolina with B.A. in Sociology, I spent several years in the legal field in relation to education.  This will be my fifth year as a School Counselor after graduating from South Carolina State University with a Master’s degree in Counselor Education. Outside of being a school counselor, I enjoy outdoor adventures, traveling, and spending time with my family.

It is my mission to get to know each of my students and support them throughout their middle school career.  

I am excited to see you all this school year!  We have a lot of great activities planned for you.  We are here to guide you with your social/emotional development, career interest, and academic support.  

I have 25 years of counseling experience in the public school system.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hampton University in 1995 and my Master's degree from Tuskegee University in 1997. I am originally from New Jersey, but have called the Upstate my home for 25 years.  In my spare time I love to run/workout, write, read, travel, and spend time with my family and friends.
