Region & All-State Orchestra

This year students will be asked to learn the following for auditions:

1. 2 octave scale (the required scales will be on the audition sheet)

2. Chromatic Scale (the required scales will be on the audition sheet)

3. Etude

4. Excerpts from the Region music

5. Sight Reading

Please remember the following for auditions:

1. Bring your own music and no matter what music may be on the stand in the audition room, USE YOUR OWN MUSIC!

2. Cello & bass students - bring a rock stop. Most of the rooms at League do not have carpet.

3. Bass players - bring a stool. Ask for help from a student or adult to carry it to and from the audition room.

4. Take your time and don't rush through the audition.

5. You do not have to dress up. The judges won't be able to see you.

6. Ask the monitor - outside of the audition room - to check your instrument to make sure it is in tune - before you go in to play.
