I grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC, where my parents owned a motel. It was like an eternal vacation for me every summer! Maybe you have heard of it, the Sea Mist Resort. However, I have lived and worked in the upstate for the last 4o years, so Greenville is home to me. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, in 1995, and my Masters in Secondary Social Studies, in 2001, from Converse College. I also hold an Ed.S degree and I am National Board Certified in Middle Level Social Studies. Besides teaching, my other passions are my children and grandchildren along with painting, scuba diving, horseback riding and traveling, when the opportunity arises. I mainly love just hanging with my hubby and granddaughter, Bohdi, and puttering around the house.
