AP Art Studio, Art 3H, and Art 4H

Welcome to AP Art Studio and Art 3H&4H! I am so glad you have committed to develop your art skills at the college level.  My goal for you this year is that you will experience significant growth in your own creativity and artistic skills.  I hope that at the end of this school year, you will have developed an AP Art Studio Portfolio or a college-level portfolio that stands up to college level scrutiny! I also hope that you can be proud of your work from this school year.

Please, familiarize yourself with the attached document, April Fretwell's AP Art Studio Syllabus, 2014 (we will follow this for Art 4H), as it details class requirements and the "ins and outs" of the two sections of an AP Art Studio Portfolio--the Breadth and Concentration.  You need to plan right now to put in many studio hours, both during and outside of school, in order to complete your portfolio this year.

Please, discuss with me your concerns and questions regarding this class and my expectations for you.

Please, join my class on Google Classroom--the code for joining is on my homepage.

Please, review the Quarter Syllabus attached below.  Also attached below are two AP Portfolio Power Point presentations by former Dorman High students.  Both of these students earned high AP Studio Art scores, so you will benefit from taking a look at their work.
