Mrs. Olson

I have been the Language Arts teacher at Fairfax Learning Center since 2016. I grew up in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Highland Park High School. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree at Emporia State University and a Master of Science degree from Kansas State University. I taught for 33 years at Junction City High School in Junction City, Kansas. I moved to the Kansas City area in 2013 and substituted in the Olathe Public Schools for 3 years. I am very excited to be at FHS and look forward to getting to know my new students.

I have two grown children, a son and a daughter as well as a grandson born in December 2015. I enjoy jogging, swimming, shopping, reading, visiting with friends, and spending time with my family. Teaching has been my chosen profession for the last 39 years and I am anxious to start the next chapter in my career!
