Mrs. Beitz

Hi! I'm Mrs. Beitz and I'm excited to be a part of Fairfax Learning Center. I am a lifelong Kansas resident. I grew up in Lawrence, and graduated from Lawrence High School. I attended school at the University of Kansas and Washburn University, graduating with a degree in education. I completed my Masters degree in Educational Technology in 2000. I also hold administrative certification.

I began my teaching career with the Topeka Public Schools during the 1993-1994 school year. During my 23 years in Topeka, I worked at the middle and high school levels as a teacher, intervention specialist, behavior coach and achievement coordinator. I also spent one year with the Lawrence Public Schools as an elementary learning coach.

When I'm not at school, I can be found enjoying spending time with my family. I live in Topeka with my husband Steve and daughter Kaya. We have horses and compete in area hunter/jumper and dressage shows. I also love to cook.
