Swimming Pool

Edendale Community Pool Society (ECPS)

The Edendale Community Swimming pool is a valuable local resource operated by a dedicated team of volunteers from the Edendale Community Pool Society (ECPS), in conjunction with the Edendale Primary School Board of Trustees.

This means the pool is available for recreational use outside of school hours for the wider community, including the Edendale township and wider rural area. It is usually open for member usage from late October through to the end of March/start of April.

Residents of Edendale and the wider district have access to use the pool through subscribed memberships which include the use of a private door-tag. Current members come from Edendale, Mokoreta, Glenham, Tuturau, Brydone, Dacre, Seaward Downs, and Morton Mains.

The pool facility caters for all members of the family with the main 25m lap pool, as well as the small paddling pool (ideal for toddlers), and an outdoor grass area for picnics.

Private swimming lessons are held throughout the season by qualified coaches, and many local groups often use the pool for their recreational or teaching experiences.  Gold Card holders, and rehab patients also have the option for extended morning swimming hours during term-time.

The facility is an enjoyable and popular local resource that we are fortunate to have in our area.
