Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Why does my schedule have 17 periods on it?

A1. Each period is 20 minutes long. Every class besides Math and ELA are 2 periods long (40 minutes each). Math and ELA are 3 periods long (60 minutes each). Math and ELA are typically right after each other. We call that part of your schedule your "block".

Q2. Do I have a locker?

A2. Yes. Every student gets a locker. You will be able to go to your locker during homeroom and between classes.

Q3. I am nervous about being late to class. how long do I have to go from room to room?

A3. You have more than enough time to go from class to class! You will have 3 minutes between each of your classes.

Q4. Do I have to get changed for phys. Ed. Everyday?

A4. Yes you have to get changed. Your Health and Phys. Ed. teachers will give you more information during the first week of school how to purchase PE uniforms.

Q5. Can I decorate my locker?

A5. Yes you can decorate the inside of your locker with school friendly decorations.

Q6. Is it true that kids get shoved in their lockers?

A5. No that is a myth!
