Earth 440 - Geology Field Course

Geology Field Course (Earth 440, 5 credits) is an in-depth course covering all aspects of field geology (structure, sedimentology, metamorphic and igneous petrology, geophysics, and surficial processes). Dates for 2019 are July 17 - August 16. The course will be centered around U-M's Camp Davis Field Station, near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, although field trips associated with the course will cover a large portion of the central and northern Rocky Mountains and northern Basin and Range.

Earth 440 is open to students from all universities who need to complete a summer field course as part of their degree requirements. Financial aid is potentially available to all students. To learn more about this course, check out the course website.

If you are interested in taking this course, please submit an application and deposit to Chris Malvica as soon as possible. A deposit will be required by early January 2019 to reserve your space in the course. Course fees are due on April 1 to maintain your space in the course. Tuition will be billed by the University in June.
