Data

The links below are a work in progress to provide information on samples collected as part of NSF-funded research projects. Currently available information includes sample name and geographic location; additional information on sample type, processing, analytical results and ancillary products (thin sections, grain mounts) will be incorporated on an ongoing basis. Data are presented on a Google Maps base, and are in KML format.

Greater Caucasus

Primarily bedrock and modern detrital samples for low-temperature thermochronology studies in the Greater Caucasus, with small samples sets from the Talysh Mountains and Lesser Caucasus. Funded by NSF grant EAR-0810067 and Civilian Research and Development Grant AZG1-2840-BA-06. Go to data

Basin and Range

Carbonate, sandstone and water/ice/snow samples collected for studies on the modern distribution of isotopes in precipitation in the western US, detrital zircon geochronology for paleogeographic studies, and δ18O and Δ47 analysis of carbonate rock for constraining paleoelevations.
