Mr. Dries' Summer Behind the Wheel Calendar

1. Meet Mr. Dries at the Driver Education vehicle, located in the Bulldog parking lot, between the lower house and Whitfield.  It is parked in a reserve spot with a sign saying Reserved for Driver Training Vehicle.  The vehicle is a WHITE HONDA CRV and has YELLOW DRIVER EDUCATION CAR magnets on the back.

2. Make sure to have your valid permit or license with you at each lesson.  Failure to do so will result in your lesson being canceled for the day and a $57 no show fee being accessed.  Your rescheduled lesson may also not take place until the start of the 24-25 school year.

3. The cost for behind the wheel is currently set at $400, but please be aware that the fee may increase after the May finance committee meeting.  Payment is required by the student’s 3rd lesson.  All checks should be made payable to Wilson School District.  If paying by cash, a receipt will be issued for your records.

4. Lessons are 1 hour in length and students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the high school.

5. If after the 6 lessons, a student has failed to meet all of the required skills, additional 1 hour long lessons may be purchased at $70 per lesson.

6. Upon successful completion of the behind the wheel program, a certificate of completion will be emailed to you that evening.

Prior to your lesson, if an emergency happens and you are unable to attend your lesson, please notify me as soon as possible via my school email address   drijoe@share.wilsonsd.org.

Changes to your vacation plans, the opportunity to go on an unplanned vacation, hanging out with friends, oversleeping, or forgetting an appointment are not considered emergencies and a cost of $57 will be charged to reschedule the lesson, if there are any available dates.
