GLIS Uniform Policy

Early Pre-K through 4th grade

• Girls - navy blue pants, skirt or jumper and a white or light blue top.  (Students must wear white for navy blue legging/tights with skirts)

• Boys - navy blue pants and a white or light blue shirt.

Grades 5th – 8th

• Girls- Khaki skirts or pants and a navy blue top.  Girls in grades 6th - 8th must wear a white or a off white Hijab (headscarf).

• Boys- Khaki pants and navy blue shirt.

Uniform is available in store like Walmart, Target, Old Navy. 

Points of note with regard to the dress code:

1. Pants must not be tight

2. Shirts or blouses should not be transparent

3. Nail polish, hair glitter and make-up are not allowed.

4. No jewelry except earrings.

5. Students are not allowed to wear baseball caps inside the building or dress in any way contrary to the principles of Islam.

6. Remember modesty and decorum should be observed at all times.

Parents will receive a ticket each time their child is out of uniform. After three notes, the child will not be allowed to attend class. Parents will be called and asked to bring the child appropriate clothing.
