• Friends & relatives should understand your child's speech
• Talks about experiences at home and school
• Asks and answers simple questions
• Names, colors, animals, toys, and food items

• Encourage your child to play
• Encourage independence in dressing, undressing, potty training, and small jobs around the house
• Allow no more than 2 hours of screen time per day (TV, video games, iPad/computer)
• Send your child to bed by 8 PM.
• Engage in conversation daily with your child about school, food, toys, and friends.
• Read daily with your child.
• Ask your child questions (who, what, when, where, why, and how)
• Be aware of your child's feelings and help them identify why they feel that way.
