Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to my Biology Class!!!! I am very excited to have you in my class this year. This is my 18th year living down here in sunny SC. I am originally from the frigid North, (Buffalo, NY). My family and I decided to move down South, not only for the great weather, but also to spread my love for science to all those who will listen!!

My passion for science stems from my early childhood. I was always one of those little kids who ventured into the deep forest, and came out with all sorts of creepy crawlies to torture my parents with...

As far as my education goes...I graduated from Buffalo State College in 2004, where I received my B.S. in Biology (with a second certification in Earth Sciences). It took me another year and a half to receive my Masters Degree in Secondary Science Education, from the University of New York at Buffalo. This will be my 18th year teaching BIOLOGY in the Freshman Academy at Hillcrest High School.

I am happily married and am blessed with three beautiful children, Ava (18 yrs old), Nikolas (15 yrs old), and our youngest son Nathaniel (14 yrs old).

I offer virtual or in-person tutoring sessions (upon request), please give me advanced notice if you would like to attend. I check my email several times daily, please feel free to contact me anytime.
