Biology is the study of life and living organisms, from the smallest bacteria to giant trees called sequoias.  Biologist's make observations and perform experiments to gain an understanding about the  natural world around them.  Some of the branches of biology that we will be studying this year include:  cell biology, biotechnology, ecology, genetics, evolutionary biology, and microbiology.
