Welcome to 4th Grade!

Hello! My name is Abby Amaya and this will be my second year of teaching at McSpedden! I will be your Reading and Science teacher this year, and my switch partners are Mrs. Gulati for Math, and Ms. Kalra who you will have for Writing & Social Studies. We cannot wait to meet you all!

I graduated from Texas A&M University with my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Dance Minor. This August, I am graduating with my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction through Texas A&M. WHOOP!!

I have five younger brothers and two dogs back home near New Braunfels, but I moved to the Dallas area last year to try something new! In my free time I can be found trying new coffee shops in the area, having game nights with my friends and family, or going for a walk/run with my dog Finley. I love to be outside and try new things!

I am looking forward to a great year and getting to work closely with both you and your child. I cannot wait to establish individual relationships with each student, and getting to know and encourage them throughout the year!

5. Lunch Order: CFA grilled nuggets with lemonade

7. Candy: Peanut M&M's or Milk Duds

8. Restaurant: Chuy's or Lupe Tortilla

9. Favorite Places to Shop: Target, Amazon, Home Goods

10. Sports Team: The Aggies!! 

11. I always need/can never have too many: Coffee, clorox wipes, sticky notes, notebook paper.
