Redox Titration Lab

(YouTube Link) - this video works well for all the things we did in the Redox Titration Lab (and a little more as we didn't prep an oxalate solution of known concentration - we just dissolved a known amount of solid - but that also reviews solution preparation for you). This can be used by students absent on lab day or those who want to go through the process again. I would suggest you skip from 7:00-8:46 on it - the calculations they do then are correct but would not likely be the way that you would first think to solve it so it isn't necessary to go through. However some of the tips from 8:46 to the end are applicable to free response questions so I would watch that.

Transition Metals

These often form brightly colored solutions when they dissolve. Their color is different as aqueous ions than as solid atoms.
