156A Finals Week
Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Risk Reduction testing of coupling effects has been addressed
Sealing issues have been identified and rectified
Will have to account for this in future iterations by designing clamping locations
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Risk reduction testing has been completed
Data analyzed to identify coupling effects
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Create preliminary design of final product
Determine the best means of connecting channels
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
All comments are in person from 3/11
Future meetings will be conducted remotely
Need to measure absolute pressures at each location
Used pressure transducers in risk reduction to measure pressures without installing physical gauges
Need to measure pressure drops across connections
Used pressure transducers at connector inlet and outlet to determine differential pressures
Must maintain heat when outside incubator
Must incorporate some form of insulation on tubing outside incubator
Must maintain O2 and CO2 levels in the fluid
Will use an open reservoir inside the incubator
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
All comments are in person from 3/10
Rotate the schematic and indicate numbers of readings and use arrows to indicate flow
Redesigned schematic
1st slide should explain the problem and our project
Redoing slides for RR presentation
Break up equations into easier to digest slides, spread across multiple slides if necessary. Also add a slide showing the solutions
Redoing slides
Clear assumptions and omit the head loss equations
Determine if coupling effect is a big deal or not by creating worst case scenario
Did this in multiple experiments and are crunching data
For Thermal/Structural FEA indicate that sponsor requested this information
Purpose of RR is to identify problems and propose solutions
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
