Chromebooks in Schools

Most schools in BTPS are encouraging the use of more technology in the classroom, and with our new shift to Google Apps for Education, the new go-to device is the Chromebook.

Chromebooks differ from traditional notebook computers because it is a web-based device. It boots up in less than 10 seconds and normally has a battery life of more than 8 hours, so students can get more done from class to class.

There is no longer a need for memory sticks or other physical memory storage because everything can be kept in their Google Drives and easily shared with teachers and others.

Chromebooks are lightweight and automatically updated, so they work brilliantly in the Google Apps environment and for most of all a student's browsing needs.
