Next Steps
As of writing, ALICE and the Transcription Task are live on the Zooniverse platform, though both are still considered 'experimental' features, meaning project builders have to request to use them. This is due to the manual setup required on our end.
Short-term goals include:
continued maintenance/bug fixes
communication with project builders around ease of setup & use
continuing to solicit feedback from project volunteers around user experience for the Transcription Task
updating and expanding documentation for project builders
Long-term goals include:
adapting the current infrastructure based on feedback from early users, including optimization of current infrastructure as well as new feature requests (contingent upon securing additional funding)
exploring options for automating Caesar setup to reduce manual setup overhead
