Algebra
My expectations
My expectations of you are to:
1. Bring these items with you to class everyday:
Chromebook
A 3-ring notebook with two dividers, notebook paper and graph paper
Several pencils with erasers
A ruler
A basic scientific calculator that has arithmetic operations and these functions:
Square: x2
Exponential: xy, yx, or x^
Scientific notation: EE or EXP
Square root: x
Factorial: x!
A scientific calculator usually has all of these functions, but statistics or business calculators may not. This type of calculator will be useful throughout high school as well. You do not need a graphing calculator, but if you already have one, we will make use of it occasionally.
2. Work to the best of your ability both during class and at home.
3. Complete your homework on time as assigned.
4. Communicate with me when you have questions or need help.
5. Take advantage of opportunities for additional help outside of class.
Your expectations
You can expect me to:
1. Do my best to teach you the awesome concepts of basic Algebra.
2. Grade and return your work promptly.
3. Be available before school or at other times for help as needed.
