Weather notice: In the event of severe weather, we send e-alerts and post on social media.
In the continuing practice of loving kindness, we volunteer our time and effort to assist many organizations around the Grand Rapids area. Not only is this a great opportunity to give back to our community but it is also an excellent way to get to know our fellow Sangha members as we work together.
Offering our time in service is an expression of compassion and connection — both within our temple and in the wider community. Volunteering is a meaningful way to practice the Dharma in action, meet new friends, and support the well-being of others.
Everyone has something to offer. Share your skills, energy, and creativity to help care for our temple community and support its mission.
Serve on the Board of Directors
Looking for a way to offer your leadership skills? The Board of Directors helps guide the temple’s future. Board members must have completed the Preceptors' class, have good organization and communication skills, and be willing to serve a three-year term. For more information, contact Board Secretary Kent Robbins.
Tech Team
Do you have the basic ability to use a computer? Perfect! Help support our Sunday Dharma Talk livestreams and make the teachings accessible to all. Training provided! Contact Ven. Kunga Nyima Drotos to get involved.
Dharma Disciples
Join the Dharma Disciples! Our Dharma Disciples are a dedicated group who help care for the temple and support our Sunday services. They serve as greeters, assist with Dharma Hall setup, tend to cleanliness, and take part in service offerings such as lighting incense and other meaningful contributions. See our Dharma Disciples Handbook for more information.
If you're looking for a way to serve the sangha and deepen your practice through action, this is a beautiful way to get involved. Email Musho Jeremy Blake or Chongo Su Ashton Shaw for more information.
