Why am I blocked from YouTube? Why won't the teacher's links work for me?

Try the steps below if you think your Chromebook's internet settings are incorrect.

1. Restart your cable modems and/or wifi routers.

Just turn everything off and restart the whole thing.

2. Remove any/all profiles from the Chromebook. Here are some directions:

The only profile on the Chromebook should be of the student using the Chromebook.

3. If you have a home internet filter (Disney Circle, OpenDNS, NetNanny, FamiSafe, etc) those solutions could be blocking the filter we use for the students. They need to let our filter through. Here are directions if you are using DisneyCircle in your home.

4. LAST RESORT - BUT VERY EFFECTIVE

Drive to the back parking lot of school. Connect your device to the school's wifi. Sign out and sign back in a few times and surf the web for just a few minutes. Your Chromebook will pick up the changes in internet settings we issued when school closed for the year. That should make sure you have the current internet settings.
