In our first cohort of Maximizing Student Engagement through Instructional Technology, educators worked to spark curiosity and transform passive instruction into dynamic learning experiences. The course was built on the foundation of the ZB 4C Framework (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Engagement, and Constructive Feedback) and the Launch, Learn, Land lesson structure.
Throughout our sessions, we utilized the SAMR Model to critique the depth of our technology integration. Our goal was to move beyond simple digital enhancement toward a total transformation of the student experience. Teachers applied these frameworks through various projects to faciliate higher-order thinking and activate student voice.
While this first group has successfully completed this course, ZB University is an ongoing initiative. Please check back for updates on upcoming courses as we continue to offer professional development that staff can immediately apply in their classrooms. We look forward to seeing how these purposeful practices continue to grow across the district!
