A technology integration specialist is an individual who collaborates with instructional and technical staff to offer support, resources, and ideas to improve instructional time with students through technology. Specialists provide insight into how technology can be combined with learning methods to improve educational outcomes for students.
Our roles as Technology Integration Specialists are to help educators implement technology in their classrooms to enhance the learning experience for students. With this in mind, you can expect us to:
Gather Resources
Co-Plan Lessons with Tech
Be a Classroom Assistant
Co-Teach using New Technology

Keep Teachers Informed Through Our Newsletter
Hi! I am thrilled to be serving as one of our district's new Technology Integration Specialists. I have taught middle school ELA, Social Studies, and Geography over the last 25 years. My husband, Brady, and I spend a lot of time at the soccer field watching our son, Reece, play for Zanesville Middle School and his club team. I enjoy reading and hanging out with our dog, Poppy.
My philosophy about educational technology is that it cannot and should not replace solid teaching practices. We have many tools and resources at our fingertips and I look forward to helping you integrate those tools and resources that will enhance your lessons and streamline your day-to-day work.
Hello, my name is Payton Norris and I am excited to be one of the Technology Integration Specialists helping you this school year. I worked at ZMS for 7 years as a math and PLTW teacher. I have also coached soccer and helped out with ski club. I love watching the Premier League on the weekends (Big Arsenal fan), and enjoy traveling and hiking with my wife, Katie, and my dog, Squeek.
I am looking forward to helping you integrate new technology into your classroom in the most painless way possible. Whenever you see me at your school, say hello, and if you ever have any questions, make sure to pull me aside so I can help!
