Attention: This website will be discontinued at the end of September. Please visit the new Zalando Partner University for all information.
This is where you can create and manage your Image and Video Collections. From this tab, you can also access the Insights dashboard where you can track and analyze your content performance.
To create an Image or Video Collection:
1. Log into your CMS account, then click on the Collections tab at the upper-left corner of your screen.
2. Click New collection at the upper-right of your screen.
3. A pop-up window will open, notifying you about the content review process. Click Start.
4. Depending on the context of your Collection, choose between one of the three outlined Collection types.
5. Click Next.
6. Enter a Title for your Collection (only visible to you), select the Target group(s) (Men/Women/Kids) as well as the Target markets.
7. Click Next.
8. Click Add articles button.
9. Paste the list of Zalando Config. SKU codes that you want to feature in your Collection.
SKUs that don’t exist in our system (i.e. unknown, invalid codes, Supplier SKUs) will be highlighted in red and won’t be added to the Collection. Double-check whether you can fix the highlighted SKUs, and if not, Click to remove SKUs.
10. Once you have added at least 5 valid SKUs, you can click Add articles.
You are able to preview the status of your articles in each target market. See Article status definitions at the bottom of this page.
On the left side, you can see the breakdown by market. If a market is highlighted in red, it means that there are currently less than 5 available SKUs in that country, and if published, your Collection will not actually go live in that market until the minimum threshold is met.
NOTE: Even if your Zalando SKUs are currently out of stock or missing, you can still proceed to request review for the Collection e.g. ahead of a product launch date. The Collection will automatically go online when the minimum SKU threshold is reached and vice versa*. You can check the latest status of your published Collections in Publish Settings.
11. If you now want to add additional articles within this step, click on All markets in the upper-left, then the Add articles button.
12. Click Next.
NOTE: The first 15 SKU codes in your list will be shown in that order in the Collection carousel. If you are creating a Collection with multiple (‘gender’) target groups (e.g. Men & Women), you need to ensure that there is a fair balance of different gender-specific articles within the Collection and the first 15 SKUs alternate (e.g.: W-M-W-M…) so all customers see something relevant to them.
13. At the top, choose the type of Collection you want to create: 1) Image or 2) Video
14. Upload the assets in the required sizes and choose one of the suggested colors for your Collection teaser background.
The color options are pre-defined by Zalando, and it’s not possible to add other additional colors manually.
15. Choose between using one of our pre-approved copies and skipping the review process or creating your own from scratch.
NOTE: If you’re using your own copy, make sure to mention your brand name in either the ‘Brand name’ or ‘Subtitle’ field.
16. After you have added the copy, click Next.
17. If your Collection consists of >8 articles and you want to enrich your Collection landing page with customized section(s), click Add Main Stage at the lower-left of your screen. Otherwise, click Next.
For more details on how you can add Main Stage sections to your Collection, see Adding Main Stage sections below.
18. In the last step, you can preview your Collection teaser, including the carousel.
To change the order of articles in the carousel, Click to sort product, move the most important available SKUs to the beginning of the list and click Update articles.
19. If everything looks as intended, you can proceed to Request review. Wait for Zalando to approve the submitted Collection.
20. Once approved, log back into the CMS and open the Collections tab.
21. Below the Action required, click the Publish button.
To add a Main Stage section:
1. Click Add Main Stage in the lower-left corner. A pop-up window will open.
2. Enter Main Stage title (only be visible to you in the tool).
3. Insert at least one of the ‘optional’ assets (An image, a title and subtitle, or a description) for each target market.
NOTE: Make sure NOT to reuse the same assets (e.g., image or copy) that you already used for the Collection header.
4. After you have uploaded the assets, select at least 3 articles from the Collection that you want to highlight within the landing page.
NOTE: You can choose backfill SKUs when creating Main Stages. This means that if the initially selected SKUs get sold out, the Main Stages won't disappear - instead, the backfill SKUs will automatically replace them.
5. Click Save.
6. Repeat Steps 1-5 if you want to add more sections.
7. Once done, click Next.
To edit a Main Stage section:
1. Click the Main Stage title at the left, then Edit at the right of your screen.
2. In the pop-up window, you can make edits to your content.
3. Once you have finished making the edits, click Save, then Next.
NOTE: Make sure NOT to reuse the same assets (e.g., image or copy) that you already used for the Collection header.
To delete a Main Stage section:
1. Click the Main Stage title at the left.
2. Click Delete at the right-bottom side of your screen.
To request review:
1. Open the Brand Home page from the Brand Home tab.
2. Click on the Request review button in the upper-right corner. For more details, see content review & lead times.
NOTE: If you cannot click the Request review button, there's a chance that you haven't added all the required assets. Therefore, please make sure to check all the steps to ensure that you’ve inserted the required assets (the missing assets will be highlighted in red). If the issue persists, please get in contact with brandhomes-support@zalando.de, and our team will do their best to resolve the issue.
To publish a Collection:

To edit a Collection:
1. Log in to your CMS account. Open the Collections tab.
2. From the Collections Overview, click on the Collection you want to edit.
3. After you have finished making edits, click Request review.
Depending on the changes you make to a Collection that has already been approved, the following review process will apply:

Update images or video assets
Edit, add, or remove SKUs (articles)
Change the Collection type (Showcase/Trend/Assortment)
Change the background header color
Add or remove target markets
Add or remove target genders
Add, rearrange or remove Main Stages
Edit SKUs within Main Stages
Change the internal Collection / Main Stage names
Any combination of the above
2) Standard review still required (taking up to 7 business days) if you:
Edit copy text
Add target markets
Any combination of the above, or mixed with edits listed in 1)
4. Once approved or auto-approved, you can publish the new version of the Collection by clicking the Publish button, visible in the Collections tab.
What happens when you edit a Collection that’s already online?
The previous version will remain online until you publish a newer version of that Collection. Any Collections which can be published will appear in the ‘Action required’ section in the CMS overview.
Having new, up-to-date collections not only keeps you relevant to customers. This also means cleaning up and unpublishing specific seasonal or event-focused collections (such as Holidays, Valentine's Day, IWD, Mother’s Day, etc.) once the event has passed.
To unpublish a Collection, you will need to:
1. Click on the down arrow next to the Collection status.
2. Click Unpublish.
Alternatively, you can also permanently delete it from the Overview page by clicking on the down arrow > Delete.
Each article (SKU) status is listed and described below.
Available: The article is in stock and buyable on Zalando.
Out of stock: The article is currently out of stock.
Missing: The article is blocked, blocked in a specific market (e.g. Partner Program), or required product data is missing (e.g. price, image).
To find your Collection URL or ID number:
1. Sign in to your CMS account. Open the Collections tab.
2. Click on the down arrow next to the Collection status, then Publish settings.
3. A pop-up window will open, where you'll find your Collection ID and URLs (Links).
