Resources which will help you with your roles, and also with your personal development.
If you’re in a Reserved Seat, you were recruited to represent a specific group of students i.e. PGT students. Whilst your focus is collecting feedback from these students, and attending relevant departmental committees, you can also help out the rest of the group and get involved with other projects.
If you’re in an Open Seat, you were recruited to represent all students, and not just a specific group. You should be trying to collect feedback from all students, and all students should know they can approach you if they have any academic issues. You are responsible for taking these issues to committees, and then feedbacking to students.
It’s likely most students who approach you will be from your degree programme. It’s still great to collect feedback from them, but you also need to try and collect feedback from students from across the department. You could do that by sending emails for example.
