Anna holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University (OSU) and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington. Her academic journey began in Japan, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Keio University, one of the top institutions in the country. After graduation, the rigorous demands of her career and personal experiences eventually led her to pursue her true calling—helping others heal and grow through therapy.
Before becoming a therapist, Anna worked for the Yokohama Board of Education and Toyota North America, where she experienced firsthand the toll of overwork and burnout. Pushing through 17 hours workdays and constant pressure, she now wishes she had taken the time to reflect on her own values and boundaries. This period of intense strain eventually led her to reevaluate her path. She then spent three years as a stay-at-home mom and owner of a preschool, an experience that gave her invaluable insight and deep empathy for caregivers and helpers navigating their own difficult situations.
Anna loves working with people from all walks of life, learning from everyone's stories and experiences. She has multiple years of experience with clients facing depression, anxiety, Trauma, ADHD, PTSD, loss & grief, relationship issues, and parenting issues.
Anna specializes in working with individuals from age 13 to 60. She particularly enjoys supporting adults with anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD, professionals in tech and healthcare facing burnout, and women navigating relationship and attachment issues. As a child of divorced parents, Anna has a deep understanding of how past relational trauma can influence current relationships, and she approaches couples therapy with empathy and insight.
With multiple years of experience in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and parenting challenges, Anna draws on both her personal and professional journey to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space for healing. Her bilingual skills in Japanese and English allow her to serve a diverse range of clients.
In her free time, Anna enjoys biking, camping, traveling, drawing, skiing, crabbing, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She consults with Maureen Kane, LMHC, who has over 20 years of experience in the field and has won an international book award.
