Rooted Identity / Attributes / Forgiveness
If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
- Psalm 130:3-5
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- Colossians 1:13-14
Who’s your favourite person? Would you forgive anything they did?
Do you find it easy to forgive yourself when you do something you think is wrong?
What would have to change for you, or in you, to put away unforgiveness?
Activity: Read Ephesians 4:32 - Reflect on what God has forgiven you for. Write someone’s name on a rock whom you need to forgive, pray about the situation, then throw it into the lake/field
