We need $244,000 to give our young people the building blocks to shape their future, communities & city
Over the last 5 years, Youth Unlimited has hired 251 summer students, many who have come from underserved communities.
Each summer, Youth Unlimited hires dozens of young people to help run day camps, sports leagues, drop-in programs, and other outreach initiatives across the city.

These summer jobs offer valuable mentoring, leadership training, and spiritual development. Giving youth a transformative summer work experience provides them with the building blocks to help positively shape their future.
Over the last 5 years, Youth Unlimited has hired 251 summer students, many who have come from underserved communities.

Most of these youth participate in our year-round programming and are in long-term mentoring relationships with our team of staff and volunteers.
For many years, Youth Unlimited has been blessed to receive funding from the federal government to create summer work experiences for young people.

Last year, this grant equipped us to hire 73 staff to serve more than 900 youth through our summer ministries.
This year, Youth Unlimited did not get approved to receive this government funding.

We now experience a shortfall of more than $240,000 to hire the 36 young workers we’ve deemed essential to safely run our programs and outreach initiatives. Clearly, we need to ask you for financial support for life transforming jobs at our summer ministries.
The ripple effect of this lack of government funding is significant.

Not only will many of the youth we journey with all year-round not receive valuable summer employment, but our programs will be at risk of being cancelled or significantly downsized, leaving many children without community programming.
