Hi there! I’m Mrs. Barrett, and I’m so excited to be your child's art teacher! With 22 years of experience, I believe in fostering creativity, individuality, and respect in my classroom. My goal is to create a space where students feel inspired to share their ideas, collaborate with others, and talk about art while exploring their unique artistic voice.

In art class, we’ll use a variety of art materials and explore many exciting processes and techniques. I encourage my artists to try new things, take on challenges, and feel proud of what they create. Seeing smiling, excited faces in the art room each day is what I look forward to the most.

I earned my B.S. in Art Education from Kutztown University and have master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and K-12 Educational Leadership. I also completed the Leadership for Diverse Schools program and have continued my art education through The Art of Education University. 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my daughter. We enjoy going to the arcade, gardening, baking, and taking quick trips to explore new places.
