Youth and Students for Peace Balkan (YSP Balkan) is a Kosova-based non-governmental organization and regional chapter of International Association of Youth and Students for Peace Europe and the Middle East (IAYSP EUME), operating throughout the Balkan region. As part of the global IAYSP network, which holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), YSP Balkan works to empower young people aged 16–35 to become active contributors to peacebuilding, sustainable development, and positive social transformation.
The organization collaborates with universities, municipalities, civil society organizations, and international institutions across Kosova, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, and beyond, fostering partnerships that encourage dialogue, leadership, and cross-border cooperation. Through youth-led initiatives, S!NERGY conferences, Peace Designer Trainings, community projects, and intercultural exchange programs, YSP Balkan creates platforms where young people can develop the skills, knowledge, and values needed to address regional challenges and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
We envision a region where young people actively foster reconciliation, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.
By equipping youth with leadership skills, practical knowledge, and values-based education, YSP Balkan aims to contribute to societies grounded in Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Empathy (RISE - Values).
