Year 9 is an exciting year for students at Ysgol Treffynnon as they select the option subjects that they would like to study over the next two years.

This website has been created to help guide students and parents through the decision making process and to offer information about the courses on offer. 

The curriculum at Ysgol Treffynnon is designed to offer students the chance to study a broad range of subjects and to develop the skills required when taking the next step after leaving school, in line with the new Curriculum for Wales, many of the GCSE your child will be studying are new for September 2025.

The Year 9 Options Evening and the launch of the options process will take place on Monday 17th February 2025.  During the evening, every subject that you child may study will have an 'information stall' and members of staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.

The deadline for the submission of the Year 9 Options is 7th March.
