Our mission is to ensure that every student creates a thoughtful plan for their future and to provide support as they develop the next steps to achieve their post-secondary goals. We are here to help educate and power Davis High School students through high school and beyond.

COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS VISION
During your time at Davis High School (DHS) our vision is to provide you an experience that will allow you to grow academically, socially, and be given an opportunity to explore your interests and try new things. Who said school has to be all work and no play? The College and Career Center encourages all students to explore opportunities both at DHS and outside of school, whether it be planning to pursue internships, apprenticeships, or going straight to the work force, the College and Career Center is here to help you learn about careers of your choice. Also, being involved in one of the 35+ clubs available at , athletics, volunteering, employment, summer enrichment, Running Start, or YV Tech (classes offered outside of Davis HS) study abroad programs or year long opportunities after graduation. The Yakima School District has begun the 2020-2021 school year in a fully remote learning environment. While the College & Career Center will be physically closed, Mr. Kindle remains available to support you and your families through the post-high school planning process. If you need assistance, please contact Mr. Kindle at kindle.james@ysd7.org or by phone at (509) 573-2584.
Student Drop Ins
Students can drop in via Google Meet on Tuesdays between 2:30pm - 3:30pm to ask questions regarding post-high school plans, scholarships, FAFSA/WASFA, and more. Use the Google Meet Code: kindleccr

We post student job, volunteer, internships and summer opportunities as a community service to our Davis Job/Volunteer Board. If you have an opportunity for our students, please complete the appropriate form. Once submitted, your posting will appear on all Davis High School job listings within 3 business days.
